Thermal Relief Valves
Thermal Relief Valves
Chemoil Advance Technology supplies Thermal Relief Valves from recognized manufacturers for protecting blocked-in liquid systems against pressure increases caused by thermal expansion. These compact relief devices are commonly installed on liquid-filled sections of piping or equipment where trapped fluid can experience a pressure rise when its temperature increases.
When a blocked-in liquid expands due to heating, even a relatively small temperature change can create a significant pressure increase. A thermal relief valve opens at its specified set pressure to discharge a small quantity of liquid and relieve the excess pressure, helping protect the isolated piping section or equipment.
