What Is a Lined Safety Valve?
Lined safety valves are spring-loaded pressure relief devices with a complete internal PTFE or PFA lining applied to all wetted parts — inlet nozzle, disc, body, and guide — preventing corrosion and media contamination in aggressive chemical services. When process pressure exceeds the set point, the valve opens automatically to vent excess pressure and reseats at a predetermined blowdown pressure. Critical for protecting vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, and pipelines handling HCl, H₂SO₄, HF, chlorine, and other corrosive media.
