The valve combines a swing check mechanism with an external heating or cooling jacket around the valve body.
The swing check mechanism allows process flow in the intended direction and automatically closes when reverse-flow conditions occur. The external jacket provides a passage for a suitable heating or cooling medium to help maintain the temperature of the process fluid around the valve body.
