Progressive cavity pump technology is well suited to applications involving viscous liquids, solids-containing fluids and certain abrasive or difficult-to-pump media, when the pump is correctly selected for the service.
The progressive cavity pumping principle uses a helical rotor rotating within a stator to create progressing cavities. These cavities transport fluid continuously from the suction side toward the discharge side, providing a controlled flow with relatively low pulsation.
